Thursday was much the same as Wednesday for the PBA boys as they picked up an 11-3 win over the TRU Wolfpack. That win moves PBA to a perfect 3-0 in the tournament thus far. Tonight the boys will play the feature game against Okanagan College at 7:30pm.

Austin Schibler continued to lead the team on offense in Thursday’s game. Schibler who had already homered in the first two games, added to his total with a 3-run shot in the 2nd , part of a five run inning to open the scoring for PBA. Through 3 games Schibler is hitting .545 (6-11) with 4 runs scored, 3 HR and 10 RBI. Outfielder Eric Davies chipped in with a 3-5 day and 2 RBI’s, as well as catcher, Carter Witbeck who was 1-3 with 2 RBI.

Coach Hubka used four pitchers in the afternoon game to keep pitch counts low, and have his full bullpen ready for the weekend. Rhett Feser started and went 2.2 innings giving up 2 unearned runs and striking out 3. Nick Cardinal, Scott Gillespie and Kai Poffenroth combined to finish out the game and held the Wolfpack to just 2 hits, while striking out 9. The pitching staff will need to continue to be efficient tonight in the feature game against Okanagan before heading into the all important weekend games.  Through games the pitching staff has only surrendered 2 earned runs, 5 in total.
