The Prairie Baseball Academy had their first game of the fall in Vauxhall yesterday and came out with a 6-2 victory over the Jets. As has become tradition the PBA heads to Vauxhall during the first week of school to participate in Vauxhall’s Spirit Game. Students are let out of school to come watch, which creates a cool atmosphere for the players.

The first full team practice of the fall is scheduled for Thursday afternoon. The boys will get a couple of days to get back into the swing of things before a full schedule this weekend. The team will be split into two different squads for this weekend’s games. Half of the team will head to Vauxhall to play the Jets for 4 games, and the other half will be in Lethbridge at Lloyd Nolan Yard to take on the St. FX Academy out of Edmonton for 4 games.  Saturday’s double dip will start at noon, and Sunday’s will start at 11am. Admission to all fall games is free, and the concession will be open serving food and refreshments during the double-header.
