The Prairie Baseball Academy is very excited to be hosting their 2^nd Showcase Tournament this weekend in Lethbridge. Nine teams from across Alberta and Saskatchewan will play over four days at Lloyd Nolan Yard and Spitz Stadium. The PBA Junior Varsity team will finish up their season by trying to win the title after losing to the Vauxhall Academy Jets in the final a year ago. Round robin play will take place from Thursday to Saturday the Vauxhall Jets and Parkland Twins kick off the tournament tomorrow at 2:00pm at Lloyd Nolan yard. The PBA JV team will play their first game at Spitz Stadium, Thursday night at 6:30. Sunday the top 4 teams during the round robing will playoff to take the championship.

The University of Lethbridge and Lethbridge College are the lead sponsors of the event again for the 2^nd straight year. Both institutions have been so welcoming to the athletes participating. Every team in town this weekend is being given a tour of both institutions. The high school students will get a chance to tour both campuses, ask questions, and potentially choose Lethbridge to play ball and further their education. Without the support of these two great post-secondary institutes the success of PBA would not be possible.
