The Prairie Baseball Academy has a new website to help make registering for our camps much easier. The participation this year has been fantastic, and we are thrilled with the progress our campers have made over the winter. The coaching staff would like to thank everyone who participated in our Winter Elite Camp. The development of Lethbridge ball players has been tremendous over the past few years and we believe it is largely due to the commitment our campers have shown to getting better in the winter months.

The response from our weeknight camps during the winter and our begginer camp on Friday nights has been fantastic. Here is a testimonial from a mother who had kids in both camps:

I wanted to provide some feedback on the Winter Elite Camp, as our family had 3 children who participated.

My 11 year old son was in the Monday night program. Although I did not personally stay to watch many sessions, I know that it was run well because he always came home with positive comments. He had fun and was learning the entire time.

 

My other 2 children were in the Friday night program. They are 7 & 9 years old. I did watch some of these sessions, and I have to say I was extremely impressed. The head instructors as well as the PBA players were timely, courteous, and engaged. They provided an age-appropriate program that was fun and knowledgeable. 

I really felt as though the instructors respected the time and financial commitment parents make to enrol their children in these programs. They used every minute to keep the kids engaged from start to finish. 

So, please pass on my sincere appreciation to all the instructors for a well run program! I will be recommending your program to friends next year!

 

Our annual Spring Training Camp is taking place March 28-31^st at Lloyd Nolan Yard. School is out for spring break so it is a great chance for your son or daughter to sharpen their skills before the season gets going. Last year the weather was beautiful and we spent every day outside. We are hoping to be able to do the same this year. The camp will run from 9:00AM – 3:00PM all four days. It works out to 20 hours of instruction over the four days. Lunch will be provided for campers each day.

The coaching staff will work all aspects of the game. Our four main points of focus will be infield, outfield, pitching and hitting. If you have participated in any of our camps you will know that we try to have a good balance of skill work and fun drills and games for the kids to enjoy their experience while improving at the same time.

You will have to sign in to register, but once you have done so you will be able to register for any future camps through the same site. The cost of the Spring Training Camp is $250. Any player that participated in our Winter Camp will be given a $50 discount for the Spring Training Camp.
